What problem are you trying to solve?

We are trying to solve the privacy issue in the cloud. The problem today is when a company wants to adopt a cloud solution, they need to live with the fact that the cloud vendors can see their sensitive data.

How do you aim to solve this problem?

We solved that problem. We allow cloud vendors to get new customers without them seeing the data or the encryption keys and while doing so, they maintain full functionality of their solution.

Who is your competition?

We are defining a new market segment, but there are two markets that try to solve this problem. One approaches cloud users- called encryption gateways- they sell to the customers and the other approaches cloud providers- called database encryption- they sell to the cloud providers. The solution of gateway encryption is okay, but it takes a lot of time to deploy and maintain and is usually complex and expensive. Database encryption solutions provide some encryption, but the keys to the actual data is next to the actual data. That’s not the most foolproof solution. That’s almost like hiding your keys under the doormat.

How are you different from them?

We are the first company in the world that makes sure that first the cloud cant see any sensitive data or keys and the user doesn’t need to install anything! This makes our solution realistic and practical. Something else which sets us apart from other companies is that we enable application builders to access more markets and to make more money. This is different from other companies, because they’ll try to intimidate and protect you from threats and we try to increase market shares for our customers and prove real value and real ROI.

What do you think is the greatest concern in the world of Cybersecurity?

Competition. Every company believes their the best. In our field, the biggest problem is technical problems. How to actually work with encrypted data which you cant see and provide real value on the sensitive data without being able to see it.
