We are trying to solve the problem of how traditional cybersecurity solutions work usually through heuristical (behavioral) scanning.
We look down to the 0’s and 1’s, the code that goes on behind the scenes – it’s like the assembly language. We take a file, we disassemble it then we extract what we call genes which are small code fragments then we check it across are large database of both malicious and trusted software.
We actually don’t have any direct competition, which is the best!
Fileless malware is definitely one of the largest concerns because most of the security solutions don’t do well with memory. However, ours does because we look at the code and not the tiny byte change that tricks traditional solutions.
We are opening up an office in New York in February and in November we received $8 million from Intel Capital Samsung Next and Magma.
